Tempeh Tacos
Perfectly seasoned tempeh chunks, fresh salsa, creamy avocado and a dollop of sour cream...this dish is a winner. These tacos are high in protein, super easy to make and oh so tasty.

ingredients
- 200g (1 pack) of our Organic Tempeh
- 4 teaspoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- ½ teaspoon chilli powder
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon cocoa powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 tomatoes
- 1 red onion
- 1 red pepper
- Half a lime, squeezed
- 6 taco shells
- 1 avocado
- 100g sour cream
- 1 bunch spring onions
- 1 bunch of coriander
instructions
- Tear the tempeh into about walnut-sized chunks. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add in the tempeh chunks and cook for around 3 minutes until slightly browned.
- Add in the spices and salt and cook for another 5 minutes until a dark brown colour. Take off the heat.
- To prepare the salsa, finely chop the tomatoes, red onion and red pepper and mix together in a bowl, along with the fresh lime juice.
- Slice up the avocado.
- Start compiling your tacos (don’t forget to include the sour cream!) and add coriander and spring onions to garnish.
